Meet Jasmine and Ben – two animal lovers who have decades of experience working with pets. Residing in Chicago for the past 14 years, they’ve built a life centered around their shared love for animals. Their home in Humboldt Park is a vibrant sanctuary filled with three energetic border collies, the egg-laying songs of a flock of hens, a charming French-Angora rabbit, and one grumpy cat. With their extensive experience and deep-rooted love for animals, Ben and Jasmine are excited to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with fellow pet owners and enthusiasts alike!
Jasmine Haldane
Training Director
Jasmine Haldane is a skilled dog trainer dedicated to building strong partnerships between dogs and their handlers. Trained at Call of the Wild School for Dogs, she has over 14 years of experience employing the “Third Way” training approach pioneered by Chris Bach, emphasizing positive reinforcement and effective communication.
As an accomplished competitor in Rally-Obedience, Jasmine has earned national recognition. As a handler she has guided multiple dogs to earn Rally-O titles. She offers group training courses such as Tricks Class, Bike with Your Dog, and Fit with Fido to enhance the bond between dogs and their owners.
Beyond her training work, Jasmine volunteers for the Come Bye Border Collie Rescue and the Wisconsin Working Stock Dog Association. She also competes throughout the Midwest in Sheep Herding, showcasing her versatility across disciplines.
Ben Hussey

Ben Hussey is a seasoned customer service professional with two decades of experience in the field. With a background in software engineering, he has successfully built and customized customer service systems for fortune 500 companies that prioritize exceptional client experiences.
Passionate about animals, Ben has spent the last six years working at Chewy developing innovative customer service technologies that enhance communication and support for pet parents. He firmly believes that the best approach to assisting clients is through empathy and building long-term relationships. This philosophy not only fosters trust but also ensures that customers feel valued and understood.
